Brand kit

The PsychHeal brand, in one page

I built this so anything with my name on it looks and sounds like me, whether it is the app, a poster in a hospital corridor, or a slide in someone else's talk. Take what you need, the only rule is honesty about what PsychHeal is and is not.

Logo

PsychHeal Horizontal lockup
Horizontal lockup

Default. Websites, headers, letterheads.

PsychHeal Ink mark
Ink mark

One continuous line, mind and spark. Use large.

PsychHeal App mark
App mark

Favicon, app icon, tiny sizes.

Clear space & size

  • Keep empty space around the logo equal to the height of the spark.
  • Never smaller than 24px tall for the mark, 96px wide for the lockup.
  • On busy photos, put the logo on a plain panel instead of the image itself.

Please don't

  • Recolour the mark outside lavender, white or ink.
  • Stretch, rotate, outline or add drop shadows.
  • Rebuild the wordmark in another font.
  • Use the logo to imply I endorse a product or a treatment.

Core palette

Blush and lavender, calm but alive. Click a swatch to copy its hex.

One colour per room

Every section of PsychHeal wears its own colour, so you know where you are before you read a word. Research is deep indigo, support is warm, crisis pages are amber. Same skeleton, different light.

Typography

Display, Instrument Serif

Aa Bb Cc

Small tools, real relief.

Headings only. Never for long paragraphs or buttons.

Body, Inter

Aa Bb Cc

Body copy sits at 15 to 16px with generous line height. Weights 400 for text, 500 for emphasis, 600 for labels. Nothing lighter than 400, it hurts on phones.

How PsychHeal talks

Do

  • · Write like a person who has been through it, because I have.
  • · Short sentences. Commas instead of dashes.
  • · Say what a tool can do and what it cannot.
  • · Name the source when a claim comes from research.
  • · Always leave a door open to real help.

Don't

  • · No diagnosing, no promising outcomes, no miracle language.
  • · No corporate filler like "empower your journey".
  • · No urgency tricks, countdowns or guilt.
  • · Never call myself a psychologist or therapist.
  • · No stock-photo happiness that nobody recognises.

The two sentences I keep everywhere

"PsychHeal is free, evidence-based self-help, built by one psychology graduate who needed it first."

"It is not therapy, not a diagnosis, and not a substitute for clinical care."

Name and addresses

  • PsychHeal, one word, capital P and capital H. Never "Psych Heal", "PsychHEAL" or "psychheal" mid-sentence.
  • psychheal.app is the live home today, and stays working forever.
  • psychheal.com, once it is bought and connected, becomes the primary address and everything else redirects to it.
  • Write links without the protocol in print, for example psychheal.com, and never with a trailing slash.
